Lance Oppenheim is an award-winning filmmaker from South Florida. His films have been screened at film festivals across the world including Sundance, Rotterdam, Tribeca, and True/False, and featured at the Museum of Modern Art and the Smithsonian. He was one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces Independent Film 2019, and is the youngest active contributor to the New YorkTimes Op-Docs. Online, his films have been featured by The New York Times (as four Op-Docs), The Atlantic, and Vimeo (as six Staff Picks). His first feature, SOME KIND OF HEAVEN, was produced by Darren Aronofsky premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and was acquired by Magnolia Pictures. The film received rave reviews upon its release and was named a NYTimes Critics’ Pick.
