In March 2015, Ad Council launched a year-long campaign called “Love Has No Labels” which aims to not only warm a viewer’s heart with a message about love, but to contribute to an important national conversation about our inherent biases and prejudices. On Valentines Day in Santa Monica, CA, people gathered to watch anonymous skeletons behind a screen step out to become real couples in love. Regardless of gender, race, abilities, and sexual orientations, these couples embrace whole heartedly in front of the crowd. This series of PSAs encourages each viewer to take a look at themselves and face their own implicit prejudiced ideas, even if they are not fully aware of them.
