Microsoft’s retro workspace at Build salutes the OG developers of the 1970s

To mark its 50th anniversary, Microsoft partnered with Assembly and m ss ng p eces to unveil The Original Build – a high-design, interactive retro experience that transports visitors back to 1975.

The activation, directed by Mike Woods, debuted at Microsoft’s annual Build event this week. Far from your typical developer conference booth, it’s a fully immersive, 1970s-themed developer workspace modeled after the start-up environments where Microsoft was created.
